Pay for electrician work here in the Philippines

From what I've seen guys starting out pull around 15k to 25k a month. It jumps fast once you get some years under your belt though. Experienced ones clear 35k easy in the cities.

But location changes everything. Manila gigs pay more. Provinces? Lower numbers. Overtime and side jobs fill the gap though.

Where most people actually find these electrician jobs

Online posts on Facebook groups work better than you'd think. Jobstreet and Indeed show up too. Word of mouth from other electricians lands plenty of roles though.

  • Construction companies hiring for new builds
  • Maintenance teams at factories and malls
  • Residential wiring contracts from real estate agents

Honestly speaking the big firms post openings regularly. Small contractors just ask around when they need hands.

Skills that actually matter

Basic wiring knowledge gets you in the door. But knowing safety codes and reading blueprints sets you apart. Tools handling comes with practice on site.

And don't skip on getting licensed. TESDA certification opens more doors. Without it you stay stuck on helper pay.

Look some guys learn on the job fine. Others waste time repeating the same mistakes.

Daily reality on the job

Early starts. Hot roofs. Tight crawl spaces. That's normal. The work stays physical so staying fit helps a lot.

Not great if you hate heights or mess. But the variety keeps it interesting day to day.

Big difference when you land with a good crew versus a rushed one. Pay and vibe both shift.
