Our client, a reputable logistics and freight company operating across Southern Africa, is seeking experienced and dedicated Professional Truck Drivers to join their expanding fleet. This role involves long-haul transportation of goods, primarily operating within South Africa and potentially cross-border to neighboring countries. The ideal candidate must possess an exceptional driving record, a deep understanding of road safety regulations, and the ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Drivers will operate modern, well-maintained fleet vehicles. A valid Code 14 (EC) driver's license with a valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit) is mandatory. Minimum of 5 years of verifiable long-haul driving experience is required. Experience with flatbed, container, or refrigerated trailers is a significant advantage. The ability to navigate using GPS and road maps, coupled with strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected road conditions or delays, is crucial. Candidates must be physically fit and capable of handling the demands of long-distance driving and occasional physical work related to cargo. A clean criminal record and excellent references are essential.
