Reporting directly to the Security Manager, the successful candidates will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment across various sectors, including Lifestyle Estates, Oil & Gas, Mining & Resources, Corporate and Financial Services, Retail & Wholesale, Logistics & Distribution, and Education.

Duties & Responsibilities
Supervisory & Leadership Duties

Supervise and coordinate security staff; maintain order and discipline.
Conduct security briefings, debriefings and assign duties/shifts.
Support team leadership and enforce compliance to site standards.

2. Access Control & Visitor Management

Control access points, enabling secure entry and exit.
Verify identities, manage visitor logs, regulate vehicle and pedestrian flow.

3. Patrols & Physical Security

Conduct regular site patrols, building inspections, and perimeter checks.
Ensure security of premises after operating hours (windows, gates, doors).

4. Incident & Emergency Response

Respond to alarms, emergencies, and urgent incidents.
Use alarms or panic mechanisms to mobilise assistance when required.
Detain and manage trespassers or offenders professionally following legal procedures.

5. Surveillance & Monitoring

Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other security systems.
Identify suspicious activity and investigate possible threats.

6. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain accurate incident reports, observation logs, inspection records, and client communication records.
Write professional and detailed reports after incidents or irregularities.
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and timeously.

7. Client Service & Professional Conduct

Maintain excellent customer service and interact professionally with clients, visitors, and staff.
Address client concerns, provide security updates, and maintain strong relations.
Uphold high integrity, professionalism, ethics, and anti-corruption standards.

8. Compliance & Operational Standards

Enforce company security protocols, PSIRA standards, and site procedures.
Maintain compliance with national, provincial, and local laws.

9. Equipment & System Management

Ensure all security equipment is functional (radios, CCTV, access systems).
Report breakdowns and support preventative maintenance.

Qualifications
• Valid PSIRA Certificate Grade B
• Matric
• Previous security experience
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
• Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle conflict situations calmly and professionally.
• Physically fit and prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Driver’s license (advantageous depending on site requirements).
• Firearm competecy for business purposes will be advantageous
