Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements:
β€’ Matric
β€’ SAIW or IIW Level 1 Welding Inspector Diploma or equivalent
β€’ 5-6 Years’ production coordination experience within a Welding Department

Responsibilities:
β€’ Monitor and review manufacturing operations and processes in order to ensure quality standards are maintained
β€’ Ensure all production processes are cost effective and efficient
β€’ Ensure all plant and equipment is maintained and serviced to specification
β€’ Ensure ISO3834 requirements are met, maintained and ISO certifications are upheld
β€’ Ensure production processes, equipment being used and working environments are all conducive
β€’ Monitor production activity to ensure appropriate manufacturing methods are employed
β€’ Ensure non-conforming product rectified and/or repaired as top priority, and that the relevant departments are informed of delays and/or repair schedules accordingly
β€’ Ensure non-conformance paperwork is raised, actioned and processed.
β€’ Ensure finished goods are checked and found to be correct, complete and compliant with all relevant specifications prior to dispatch
β€’ Ensure that finished goods are well packed and correctly labelled where required
β€’ Ensure all manufacturing documentation & operations conforms to company standards
β€’ Staff training and development
β€’ Monitor, review and address personnel under performance & liaise with the HR Manager
β€’ Address staff discipline and grievance issues, maintaining appropriate records in accordance with company policies and procedures
β€’ Assist in the management of any changes to business requirements as and when required
β€’ Assist in the implementation of improvements to processes and systems, in order to increase throughput and minimize mistakes
β€’ Develop a high-performing workforce
β€’ Maintain proactive, dynamic and effective communication with Clients at all times
