Job Description
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Achievement of safe production performance levels through the effective maintenance of equipment
β€’ Attend and conduct Safety meeting
β€’ Conducts and participate in Risk assessments
β€’ Allocate tasks to subordinates
β€’ Attend to Breakdowns and emergencies as required
β€’ Ensure that material, spares and equipment are available as required
β€’ Ensure proper and adequate on the job training and coaching is provided to subordinates
β€’ Comply to environmental requirements
β€’ Exercise judgment with regards to replacement of components
β€’ Maintains a high quality of work
β€’ Timely and accurate information
β€’ Records results of all legal examinations in the appropriate format
β€’ Works in a sequence that prioritizes work requirements
β€’ Completing job cards and description of work and spares used (PM’s)
β€’ Performing work to the required standards and specifications
β€’ Applying appropriate tools to complete tasks

Good employee relations
β€’ Ensuring effective teamwork
β€’ Identify potential conflict situations and minimize the implications of possible conflict
β€’ Ensure that subordinates have clear work expectations and plans
β€’ Conduct on the job induction
β€’ Support, coach and participate in the training and development of subordinates and apprentices
β€’ Effective two way open communication with subordinates and line supervisor
β€’ Report at risk behavior, incidents and injuries
β€’ Interacting with other departments
β€’ Advising defects and abnormalities to appropriate supervisor or manager
