Job Description
A logistics company in Polokwane, Limpopo is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to join its fleet operations team. The role involves transporting goods safely between depots and customers, completing delivery documentation accurately, and conducting daily vehicle inspections. A valid professional driving permit and clean record are essential.

Responsibilities
• Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes using GPS navigation and local knowledge to minimise fuel consumption and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Operate assigned vehicles safely and responsibly in compliance with all road traffic laws, company policies, and client delivery instructions.
• Provide polite and professional service to customers at delivery and collection points, representing the company positively in all interactions.
• Complete all delivery documentation accurately including waybills, delivery notes, and proof of delivery receipts for office processing.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean and tidy both inside and out, arranging regular washing and ensuring the cab is free of litter.

Requirements
• Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and describe vehicle faults accurately when reporting issues to maintenance.
• A valid Professional Driving Permit for roles involving passenger transport or dangerous goods as required by legislation.
• Strong time management skills with ability to plan routes and deliveries to meet tight deadlines and customer time windows.
• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading cargo, including the ability to lift heavy items when required.
• Excellent customer service orientation with ability to communicate politely and professionally with customers at delivery points.
