Job Overview

We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Picker and Packer to join our warehouse team in Marlboro, Johannesburg. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for accurately picking, checking, and packing customer orders to ensure products are prepared safely and efficiently for dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

Picking Duties
• Pick stock accurately using picking slips, packing lists, or scanner instructions
• Locate products in the warehouse and verify correct items and quantities
• Inspect products for damage, defects, or discrepancies before packing
• Meet daily picking targets while maintaining high accuracy levels
• Report missing, damaged, or incorrect stock to your supervisor

Packing Duties
• Pack customer orders securely and neatly according to company standards
• Use appropriate packaging materials to protect products during transit
• Ensure all items are correctly packed and included in every order
• Label parcels accurately for dispatch and courier collection
• Prepare completed orders for shipping or delivery

General Warehouse Duties
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing incoming stock
• Help sort and organise products in correct warehouse locations
• Maintain clean, neat, and organised workstations and warehouse areas
• Follow all company health and safety procedures
• Handle products carefully to prevent damage or loss
• Support stock counts and basic stock control activities
• Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to meet daily operational targets
• Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned by management

Minimum Requirements

Essential
• Matric / Grade 12 certificate
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit with ability to lift and move stock safely
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Team player with good work ethic

Advantageous
• Previous warehouse, picking, packing, or dispatch experience
• Experience in e-commerce, online retail, or warehouse environments
• Familiarity with handheld scanners or warehouse management systems
• Understanding of stock handling and order fulfilment processes
