Job Description
Introduction

Our Client in the Industrial Cleaning Industry based in Durban requires a results-driven Site Contracts Manager to oversee and manage a single industrial cleaning contract at a designated client site. The role is responsible for ensuring that the company delivers safe, compliant, high-quality cleaning and hygiene services in line with contractual obligations, SHEQ standards, and client expectations.

The incumbent will serve as on-site representative, ensuring operational excellence, workforce stability, strict safety compliance, and strong client partnership while protecting contract profitability.

Duties & Responsibilities

Contract & Operational Delivery
β€’ Manage the full operational execution of the assigned cleaning contract.
β€’ Ensure services are delivered in accordance with contract scope, KPIs, and SLAs.
β€’ Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement on site.
β€’ Conduct daily site inspections and scheduled quality audits.
β€’ Monitor productivity and implement corrective measures where necessary.
β€’ Control site costs to ensure contract profitability.
β€’ Submit accurate operational and performance reports to the Operations Manager.

Leadership & Workforce Management
β€’ Lead and supervise site supervisors and cleaning teams.
β€’ Promote a company culture of accountability, professionalism, and service excellence.
β€’ Manage workforce planning, scheduling, and shift rosters.
β€’ Oversee attendance, timesheets, and payroll submissions.
β€’ Enforce discipline in line with company policy and labour legislation.
β€’ Manage grievances and disciplinary processes in consultation with HR and the Operations Manager.
β€’ Identify training needs and ensure ongoing development of staff.
β€’ Support recruitment in line with employment standards and operational requirements.

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (SHEQ)
β€’ Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and client site safety protocols.
β€’ Maintain and manage the site SHE file in accordance with company and client standards.
β€’ Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and regular safety inspections.
β€’ Ensure proper issuance and use of PPE.
β€’ Enforce safe chemical handling and machinery operation.
β€’ Maintain ISO-aligned quality standards and ensure adherence to quality management systems.
β€’ Investigate and report all incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances.

Equipment & Stock Management
β€’ Safeguard and manage all cleaning equipment and assets allocated to the site.
β€’ Ensure preventative maintenance and correct equipment usage.
β€’ Control stock levels of chemicals and consumables to prevent wastage.
β€’ Ensure stock usage aligns with approved budgets.

Client Relationship Management
β€’ Act as the primary on-site representative of the company.
β€’ Build and maintain strong professional relationships with client representatives.
β€’ Attend site
β€’ Address service issues promptly and professionally.
β€’ Escalate risks or contractual concerns to the Operations Manager.
β€’ Uphold and protect the brand, reputation, and service standards at all times. meetings and present performance feedback.

Desired Experience & Qualification
β€’ 3–5 years’ experience in industrial cleaning or hygiene services.
β€’ Proven experience managing a site-based cleaning contract.
β€’ Minimum NQF Level 5 qualification (Operations, Business Management, or related field preferred).
β€’ Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
β€’ Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Systems.
