Job Description
Purpose: The purpose of this job is to assure that goods are delivered accurately and punctually in good condition as expected by the customer. This will include dealing with customers, staff from all branches, monitoring the loading and offloading of transfers and making sure that the delivery vehicle is in good condition by doing daily check-up of the vehicle and providing good customer service. This will result in customer satisfaction and generate sales promoting the business and creating sustainable growth and profit margins.

Key Responsibilities
β€’ Provide good customer service
β€’ Completing of daily trip sheets (opening/closing km, departure/arrival times)
β€’ Completing a daily pre-trip inspection of your vehicle to ensure basic roadworthy standards. (indicating on trip sheet)
β€’ Reporting any defect on your vehicle to your Supervisor (completing of vehicle repair report)
β€’ Ensure that the truck assistants are with the truck at all times.
β€’ Plan and ensure with the most efficient route to your customer
β€’ Ensure all out going stock have the relevant documentation before being loaded.
β€’ Ensure all transferred documents are recorded in your logbook.
β€’ Ensure the transfer logbook is signed by the branch who receives the stock.
β€’ Ensure all stock are delivered in excellent condition
β€’ Hand in weekly evaluation reports to your Supervisor.
β€’ Reporting any delay at branches to your Supervisor.
β€’ Report to your Supervisor at the end of the day
β€’ Participate in perpetual stock takes.
β€’ Perform any work-related tasks delegated by superior

Requirements
β€’ Matric or x3 Completed Intercept courses equating to total of 120 credits
β€’ Candidates with no Matric that have a valid license and have 3 years driving experience will be considered for the position
β€’ Code 10 Drivers Licence (higher code would be advantage)
β€’ PDP (Public Driving Permit: Goods and Passengers)
β€’ Minimum 3 Years driving experience
β€’ Ability to handle pressure
β€’ Monitoring skills
β€’ Ability to deliver excellent customer service
β€’ Ability to read & communicate on high level
β€’ Must be able to understand the loading of vehicles
β€’ Planning, time management & organizing skills
