Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
• Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, posted policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and reporting details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
• Monitor access points and observe resident and visitor movement in accordance with location guidelines, helping to support orderly operations and documenting security-related concerns.
• Complete routine logs, incident reports, and pass-down communications, and help address security-related issues involving property, equipment, and/or facility rules.

Minimum Requirements:
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
