Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol - Union Station in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access activity with professionalism and care. What You'll Do
• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify permitted entry in accordance with site protocols, assisting with visitor screening, directions, and other security-related support as needed.
• Communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and suspicious activity, while preparing clear and accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
