Packing House 3rd Shift Leader (Sun-Th 10pm-6am)

Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10pm - 6am
Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: Starting at $17/hour, based on experience
Start Date: ASAP

Job Overview
Bring on the fruit and veg! As the Packing House 3rd Shift Leader, you will execute and oversee the daily operations plans for some of the most interesting and exciting specialty produce. This role reports to the Supervisor, ensuring metrics are met (cases or units per hour) and that the team is following the food and overall safety in the warehouse. We're seeking someone that is energetic and collaborative to join our fast-paced team and make a real impact in our operations!

This role has a requirement to work on-site in the warehouse.

About the Job
What does a Packing House Shift Leader do? Your primary focus will be to make sure operations run smoothly during the shift, ensuring the safety and productivity of the employees assigned to your shift. This person will be managing hours by monitoring productivity and controlling the team size, all while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Communicating the daily plan and holding the team accountable are key parts of the role. Since the customers make the business successful, ensuring that customer specifications are met by the team is a crucial part of the role. This can be achieved by verifying the Quality Control Specialists’ findings and adjusting when necessary.

Other important tasks to take on include scheduling maintenance during shifts for routine machine cleanings, machine optimization, and reporting hours to the temp agencies and the Director of Production.

• Collaboration: Continuity of operations is key. Strong collaboration skills to communicate to Shift Supervisor and other team leads is essential.
