United Protection & Security Service is seeking highly trained, dependable, and professional Armed & Unarmed Security Officers to support safe and secure environments across multiple client locations. We are looking for mature officers who demonstrate sound judgment, strict adherence to protocol, and a commitment to exceptional service.
This position requires excellent communication skills, strong situational awareness, and the ability to interact respectfully with the public, staff, and visitors while maintaining a calm, authoritative presence.
What Youâll Do
General Security Duties (Not SiteâSpecific)
⢠Patrol and secure buildings, grounds, and parking areas
⢠Monitor activity to ensure the safety of property, equipment, staff, and visitors
⢠Enforce siteâspecific safety policies and procedures consistently
⢠Manage access control, visitor checkâins, and building entry procedures
⢠Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies
⢠Complete accurate, detailed incident reports and daily activity logs
⢠Maintain high visibility to deter unauthorized or suspicious activity
⢠Communicate clearly with supervisors, clients, and the public
⢠Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
⢠Follow all UPSS protocols, post orders, and chainâofâcommand expectations
⢠Carry and handle a firearm safely, responsibly, and in full compliance with Pennsylvania law and UPSS policy
Position Requirements
⢠Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
⢠Must be able to travel â Officers will work at multiple job sites
⢠Must be able to work various shifts, including overnight, weekends, and holidays
⢠Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid Driverâs License
⢠Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields
⢠For Armed Officers: Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification is required at the time of hiring and must be current and up to date (if applicable)
