As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication and customer service. You will document activity, support access control as needed, and coordinate with site contacts while upholding Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:
• Provide customer service to visitors and staff while carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Patrol designated buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas on a regular and random basis to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial assessment, scene control, and prompt notification to the appropriate parties.
• Operate as an armed post in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies, including proper handling, storage, and accountability of issued equipment.
• Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations and/or concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
