Position Summary

Assemble, weld, install, and maintain piping systems and related equipment for manufacturing and industrial production systems. This role involves interpreting complex drawings, performing precision pipe fitting and welding primarily on Small-Bore Stainless-Steel Piping, and ensuring that all work meets stringent ASME codes, safety requirements, and quality standards.Assemble, weld, install, and maintain piping systems and related equipment for manufacturing and industrial production systems. Please note this is full-time day shift position 100% based at our facility in Sedalia, MO. As such, there are no travel requirements or per diems.

Position Responsibilities
β€’ Read and interpret 2D and 3D piping drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and ASME code specifications to plan fabrication and installation of piping systems.
β€’ Cut, fit, weld, and assemble pipe spools and components to specified dimensions and tolerances using appropriate tools and welding processes in compliance with ASME requirements.
β€’ Maintain accurate weld maps and documentation for all fabricated pipe spools and assemblies, ensuring traceability for ASME code compliance.
β€’ Requisition and manage tools, equipment, and materials necessary for each project phase, coordinating with supervisors and procurement as needed.
β€’ Install pipe supports, valves, flanges, couplings, and fittings to connect piping systems to machinery, tanks, pumps, and process equipment per ASME B31.1/B31.3 standards.
β€’ Conduct inspections, hydrostatic testing, and other quality verification procedures to ensure systems meet ASME and customer specifications.
β€’ Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality control policies and procedures.
β€’ Precision pipe fitting and welding primarily on Small-Bore Stainless-Steel Piping
Required Qualifications
β€’ High school diploma or GED, or equivalent relevant experience.
β€’ Minimum of 3–5 years of pipe welding and fitting experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
β€’ Journeyman-level pipefitting or welding certification (or equivalent training and experience).
β€’ Familiarity with ASME welding procedures and B31 piping codes.
β€’ US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
β€’ Candidate must also pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Desired Qualifications
β€’ Proven ability to troubleshoot piping system and equipment issues.
β€’ Experience reading and interpreting P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and isometric piping drawings.
β€’ Working knowledge of ASME, AWS, and other relevant welding and piping codes.
β€’ Familiarity with manufacturing processes, process controls, and plant utilities.
β€’ Proficiency in using welding and pipefitting tools, measuring instruments, and related equipment.
β€’ Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
β€’ Strong commitment to safety practices and use of PPE (hard hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection).
