Job Description
Responsibilities of Security Officers include, but are not limited to:
• Officers must be attentive, approachable, and capable of enforcing policies while delivering excellent customer service to guests, staff, and vendors.
• This is a high-visibility, physically demanding, customer-facing role in a fast-paced public environment.
• Maintain clear, accurate administrative logs at front desk pertaining to people or property including packages.
• Control access for tenants, visitors or vendors as required
• Enforce museum rules and policies in a professional, customer-service-oriented manner
• Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment
• Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management
• Provide a visible security presence throughout the museum
• Rotate between assigned posts as needed

Required Qualifications of Security Officers:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work all shifts.
• 1 year of security, customer service, or public-facing experience preferred
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Able to acquire and maintain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), including state accredited training requirements
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Willingness to work all posts and flexible schedules
• Experience in museums, hospitals, retail centers, or high-traffic public venues
• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs., completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather

Preferred Qualifications of Security Officers:
Bi-lingual considered a plus.
Evening, overnight, and weekend availability required
