UNARMED SECURITY GUARD – Houston, Texas
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

We are currently hiring Unarmed Security Guards in the Houston, TX area. This position requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and reliability.

Requirements:
• Must have a valid Level 1 or Level 2 Guard Card
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees
• Ability to accurately complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to stand for 3+ hours
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Duties
• Monitor and patrol designated premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems and other security equipment
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activities
• Enforce security policies and procedures effectively while maintaining professionalism
• Assist with loss prevention strategies to protect company assets
• Provide first aid or CPR when necessary until emergency services arrive
• Document incidents accurately through detailed reports
• Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively to de-escalate potential issues
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders as required
• Maintain a visible presence to deter misconduct and reassure staff and visitors

Requirements
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields is preferred
• Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
• Strong surveillance skills with knowledge of CCTV systems
• Excellent conflict management and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies or tense situations
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices
• Valid security license or the ability to obtain one as per local regulations
• Physical ability to patrol large areas on foot for extended periods
