Founded in 1990, LGH stands at the forefront of the hoisting and rigging equipment rental industry, providing rental equipment responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of everything from the bridges you drive on to the sports stadiums you visit.We have an immediate need for a driver to join our team where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery of rental equipment orders, while adhering to all safety and compliance standards. When you aren’t on the road transporting equipment, you’ll be in the warehouse maintaining our top-notch rental equipment, guaranteeing its immediate ability for safe utilization.In this position you will : · Drive company vehicles to transport rental equipment in a safe and timely manner· Load equipment orders for delivery, confirming all equipment on each order is accounted for· Pick-up equipment, utilize iPad to process equipment return in-bound order system, verifying the condition of returned items, while ensuring all equipment is accurately accounted for· Report all customer complaints or issues to Foreman· Ensure proper maintenance of vehicles including checking oil, fuel and keeping the vehicle clean; report any issues to manager· Perform errands as requested· Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test various types of electrical, hand operated, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment· Perform routine preventative maintenance on rental equipment· Prepare rental equipment orders and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with our quality standards· Operate forklift to load and unload delivery vehicles and transport equipment within the warehouse as part of daily operationsPlease note : This is a non-CDL driving position requiring a valid Illinois Class C driver’s license and a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC). After an offer is made and the candidate successfully passes all pre-employment screenings, the company will arrange for the candidate to obtain their DOT MEC prior to the start of their employment.Hours : Monday – Friday (7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm shift) FULL TIME; Occasional overtime may be required.Location : Bridgeview, ILMinimum Starting Pay : $28.27· The position is a full-time, Union position; employees receive an annual contractual increase each December.Benefits : Paid holidays, sick, and vacation time; full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short term disability, basic life insurance, plus additional optional voluntary benefits; vested 401(k) with 5% company match; continual, comprehensive, industry-leading training program.Education / TrainingHigh School Diploma or EquivalentRequirements : Commercial driving experience requiredMust possess a valid, Driver's License, Class C or aboveMust be 21 years of ageDriving record must meet insurance underwriting requirements
