As a Security Guard Access Control Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:
• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, residents, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions in accordance with location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help control entry and exit activity by verifying authorization, providing directions, and reporting unauthorized persons and/or suspicious behavior.
• Support a respectful and professional environment within a government location by assisting with de-escalation, communicating clearly with staff and/or visitors, and notifying appropriate personnel when additional response is needed.

Minimum Requirements:
• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
