Job Title: Pipe Welder

Job Description

This role focuses on TIG welding stainless steel pipe to fabricate pipe spools and metal hoses in a high-volume, fast-paced shop environment. You will primarily work with stainless steel piping ranging from 3/4" to 8" OD, with the majority between 1.5" and 4" OD in schedule 10 and schedule 40, along with some carbon steel work.

Responsibilities
β€’ Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel pipe to fabricate pipe spools and metal hoses.
β€’ Work primarily with stainless steel piping ranging from 3/4" to 8" OD, with most work between 1.5" and 4" OD in schedule 10 and schedule 40.
β€’ Weld both stainless steel and carbon steel pipe, with approximately 90% of work on stainless and 10% on carbon steel.
β€’ Read and follow fabrication requirements to ensure accurate pipe spool and hose construction.
β€’ Maintain consistent weld quality and appearance in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
β€’ Fit pipe components as needed to prepare assemblies for welding.
β€’ Use appropriate welding processes, including TIG and other methods where required, to complete assigned work.
β€’ Work continuously and efficiently to meet production goals and support on-time delivery of projects.
β€’ Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements
β€’ 5+ years of pipe welding experience.
β€’ Proficiency in TIG welding (GTAW) on stainless steel pipe.
β€’ Ability to weld stainless steel pipe to a high standard of quality.
β€’ Experience welding pipe in various sizes, including 3/4" to 8" OD, with a focus on 1.5" to 4" OD.
β€’ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume fabrication environment.
β€’ Capacity to work extended hours as needed to support production demands.

Work Environment

This position is based in a nice, clean fabrication shop focused on welding and pipe fabrication. Standard hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed, and current workloads often require 50–60 hours per week, occasionally shifting to 6:00 a.m. to 5:00/6:00 p.m. The pace is fast, with a high volume of work that needs to be completed on tight timelines, and you will spend most of your time performing hands-on welding and fabrication tasks in a production setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
