As per the Ministry of Manpower, the minimum monthly wage for entry-level security officers in Singapore is SGD 2,050 as of 1 January 2026 under the Progressive Wage Model. Employers must also contribute SGD 102.50 monthly to the worker's CPF account at the standard rate.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, security guards require completion of the National Police Academy's 16-hour Basic Security Training course and at least 1 year of relevant experience for non-entry roles. No formal academic qualifications are mandated, but candidates must be at least 18 years old and pass a medical fitness test. Employers verify these through the Security Industry Regulatory Framework before hiring.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, applicants must submit a valid NRIC or Work Permit, Security Officer Licence from the Police Licensing & Regulatory Department, and educational certificates during the job application. Additional documents include a recent passport-sized photo, CPF contribution statement, and employment contract signed by the employer. All submissions occur via the MOM Work Pass Online portal at least 7 days before the start date.
