Job Description
DI / Plumbing System Engineer, primarily responsible for the on-site supervision, interface coordination, and execution support of Deionized Water (DI), Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), and plumbing systems for high-tech manufacturing facilities. Candidates with experience in high-tech facility construction are highly preferred, with solid knowledge of semiconductor water system design and installation, site management, integration of testing and commissioning schedules, and effective cross-disciplinary interface coordination.
Responsibilities:
β’ Provide on-site supervision and coordination for DI, UPW, and plumbing system installation works in semiconductor fabrication facilities
β’ Monitor installation of process water, DI/UPW piping, plumbing networks, valves, tanks, pumps, and related equipment to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project
β’ Able to read and interpret DI / plumbing drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and technical documentation to support effective site execution.
β’ Coordinate with on-site interface teams to ensure DI and plumbing systems are properly aligned with construction progress and equipment installation schedules.
β’ Supervise clean piping installation works, including material control, pressure testing, flushing, chemical cleaning, passivation, and system cleanliness management throughout commissioning activities.
β’ Support integration of field instrumentation with DI/Plumbing systems, including interface coordination with system vendors and integrators.
β’ Identify and report site issues related to workmanship, safety, design discrepancies, or system interfaces, and support corrective actions.
β’ Participate in site inspections, system handovers, and coordination meetings with Clients, consultants, and subcontractors
Requirements:
β’ Degree in Mechanical Engineer, Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering
β’ Strong hands-on experience in on-site supervision of DI / plumbing installations.
β’ Able to read and interpret P&ID, plumbing system drawings, isometric drawings, and related technical documentation.
β’ Familiar with construction sequencing and site coordination, including subcontractor supervision and clean piping practices with leak-tight and safety-critical requirements
β’ Able to work independently on site, and coordinate effectively with project teams, contractors, system integrators, and Clients.
β’ Willing to work in a site-based and shift-based environment, as required by the project.
β’ WIlling to take on ONE Year Contract, with potential to renew.
