Our galvanising division applies a durable zinc coating through the hot-dip process to prevent corrosion on steel used in construction, infrastructure, rural, and engineering projects nationwide. We're hiring two Galvanisers to join our Wellington team, reporting to the Operations Manager.About The RoleThis is a full-process, hands-on manual labour role in an industrial setting. You'll work across all stages of galvanising:Preparing steel in the black end (segregating and handling contaminated items)Maintaining acid baths for effective picklingSafely dipping steel into the molten zinc kettle, and finishing on the white end (inspecting, fettling to remove excess zinc, packing, and stacking job lots safely)Expect a physically demanding environment with heat, chemicals, and heavy lifting. Safety is non-negotiable, and you'll keep areas clear of hazards, assist customers when required, and communicate proactively to maintain quality, efficiency, and smooth operations.
