Security Guard - Pune

As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, the minimum wage for security guards in India is ₹22,500 per month as of 1 January 2026. Overtime beyond 8 hours daily must be paid at twice the normal rate under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948. This rate applies across central sphere establishments.

Applicants must have passed Class 10 and be at least 18 years old with no criminal record. One year of prior experience is mandatory for armed security guard roles. PSARA-compliant training certification from a state-recognized institute is also compulsory.

Required documents include Aadhaar card, PAN card, Class 10 certificate, and a valid PSARA training certificate. Police verification report and medical fitness certificate must be submitted within 30 days of offer. Applications are processed via the National Career Service portal.

Security guards work a maximum of 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week as per the Shops and Establishments Act. They are entitled to 12 casual leaves and 15 earned leaves annually with ESI coverage for medical benefits. Night shifts require a 12-hour rest period between duties.
