Overview

Following the successful award of several new contracts, we are seeking to strengthen our team with the addition of a professional and vigilant Security Guard. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring sites through surveillance systems, conducting regular patrols, and implementing effective loss prevention strategies. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment and providing reassurance to clients, staff, and stakeholders.

We are looking for applicants to hold SIA licences for non-railway orientated works and SIA & PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification and be willing to travel as required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities
• Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV to observe activity within and around the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
• Enforce access control procedures to ensure only authorised personnel enter restricted areas.
• Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, including emergencies requiring first aid if necessary.
• Carry out loss prevention measures by identifying suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff courteously.
• Mobile vehicle patrols and on train security roles may be required.

Qualifications
• Proven experience in security or related fields.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and loss prevention techniques.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods.
• Valid security licence or certification as required by local regulations is essential.
