Job Description
Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a well-established castings business in Sheffield, seeking an experienced Foundry Welder to join their team.

Role Overview:

As a Foundry Welder, you will be responsible for repairing and finishing cast metal components, ensuring they meet strict quality and industry standards. You’ll work within a skilled team, using various welding techniques to refine and perfect metal castings.

Shift Pattern:

4-day working week (Monday to Thursday)

Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (35-hour average week)

Hourly Rate: £15.00ph

Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out welding repairs on cast components using TIG, MIG, and MMA welding techniques
• Inspect, grind, and finish castings to required specifications
• Work from engineering drawings and follow strict quality control procedures
• Ensure all work meets health & safety and industry regulations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the welding and finishing team

Key Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Castings Welder or similar role
• Strong TIG, MIG, or MMA welding skills, ideally within a foundry or heavy engineering environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Keen eye for detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Team player with a proactive attitude
