Job Description As an Account Manager at Allied Universal, the role is accountable for day‑to‑day operations of an assigned account, including management and professional development of security personnel. The Account Manager will build, improve, and maintain relationships with clients and employees, develop and retain staff, coordinate needed support services, and solve problems to effectively run the account. This role is responsible for meeting or exceeding financial and operational goals and providing quality customer service. The Account Manager maintains or oversees maintenance of weekly operating schedules, completion of payroll for assigned security personnel, and provides after‑hour emergency response as required.

Allied Universal is seeking a highly professional and dependable Bilingual Security Supervisor to support security operations at the account in Ottawa, Ontario. This role is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day security operations while ensuring all operational procedures, access control protocols, and client expectations are upheld to the highest standard. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills in both English and French, and the ability to manage complex security operations within a fast‑paced environment.

Mandatory Requirements

Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident status

Eligible to obtain and maintain Reliability clearance

Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence

Valid First Aid & CPR Certification

Fluency in English and French (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

Previous supervisory experience managing a team of 10+ security professionals

Experience with CCTV systems, access card systems, alarm panels, and control centre operations

Experience with access control duties, organized event coverage, and incident management procedures

Ability to create, implement, and maintain post orders and site procedures

Strong leadership, organizational, computer, and conflict‑resolution skills

Excellent report‑writing and verbal communication abilities

Ability to exercise sound judgment and professionalism in high‑pressure situations

Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively

Proficiency with basic computer systems and security software applications

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate daily security operations at the assigned site

Supervise, mentor, and support security professionals to ensure performance standards are met

Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems

Ensure visitors, contractors, and staff comply with established site access procedures

Issue, verify, and maintain security credentials and identification badges

Create, review, and enforce post orders; maintain and update site schedule and site‑specific operating procedures

Conduct routine patrols, inspections, and audits to ensure safety and compliance

Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and escalations

Prepare, review, and submit accurate occurrence reports, daily logs, and incident documentation

Liaise with clients, management, emergency services, and other stakeholders as required

Address personnel concerns, manage conflict, and maintain discipline when required

Maintain a professional, customer‑service‑focused security presence at all times

Physical & Working Conditions

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs may be required

Primarily an indoor control room or office environment with occasional outdoor duties

Ability to remain alert, attentive, and composed throughout assigned shifts
