This iconic and emblematic hotel in Montreal was completely renovated in 2021, with 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, 25 meeting rooms and can accommodate up to 1000 customers. Reporting to the restaurant supervisors, the host or hostess plays a crucial role in welcoming and guiding customers within our establishment. As the first person customers encounter, the host or hostess embodies the image of our company by providing a warm and professional welcome. Responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience from the first contact, the host or hostess contributes to creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. By closely collaborating with the service team, the host or hostess ensures a smooth transition between customers' arrival and their seating at their table, thus playing an essential role in the overall success of our establishment.

Main Responsibilities:
• Greet customers upon arrival and escort them to their table.
• Provide information about the menu, daily specials, and ongoing promotions.
• Take reservations by phone, online, or in person and accurately record them.
• Organize waiting lines and manage customer wait times.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure tables are prepared and cleaned efficiently.
• Respond to customer requests and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain clear and fluid communication with other staff members to ensure efficient service.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment in the reception and seating area.

• Previous host/hostess experience
• Greet guests with warmth and personal touch
• Take and confirm guest reservations
• Assign tables to guests
• Respect hygiene and sanitation standards and procedures
• Follow Marriott and corporate standards
• Sales and customer service skills
• Professional attitudes and behaviors such as good memory, verbal communication skills, stress tolerance, physiognomy, etc.
• Knowledge of the immediate area and points of tourist interest

Languages: Bilingualism (French and English), both oral and written, is required for this position as we serve an international clientele.
