Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication processes and be proficient in using various tools and machinery. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Duties

This is a full-time, on-site role located in North York, ON for a Fabricator/Welder. The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to fabricate and weld various metal components. Key tasks include measuring, cutting, and preparing metal parts, performing welds using different techniques and materials, ensuring welded structures meet quality standards, and maintaining equipment. The individual will collaborate with engineers and other team members to solve technical problems and improve processes and will uphold safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
• Experience in cutting, shaping, and joining metal parts using multiple welding techniques
• Strong understanding of different metals and their properties
• Skills in operating and maintaining welding equipment and tools
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent understanding of safety practices and guidelines in welding
• Relevant certification or diploma in welding or fabrication is preferred
• Prior experience in defence or related industries is an advantage
