Job Description
We are seeking Ontario Licensed Security Guards who have at least 3 years of experience and are available for part-time or full-time work in the Toronto area. Those with experience working in social service programs and organizations will have an advantage.

The selected individual will monitor, manage and patrol and assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and guests.

The candidate must have personal transportation due to shifts with off transit hours.

Responsibilities:
β€’ ​​​Monitor premises and prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules, suspicious or criminal acts
β€’ Thoroughly examine entrances and access points to ensure proper function and security
β€’ Successfully de-escalate and negotiate during tense and potentially dangerous situations.
β€’ Communicate effectively with violators of premise rules and regulations
β€’ Report any facility issues such as fire hazards, building safety violations, alarm or panel malfunctions.
β€’ Write thorough and grammatically correct reports and logs.
β€’ Be able to act and manage high risk situations and assist emergency personnel as required

Qualifications:
β€’ Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields (at least 1 year of Canadian work experience)
β€’ Previous background in working with vulnerable community members in social service settings.
β€’ Valid Ontario G driver's license
β€’ Standard First Aid with CPR Level C by Red Cross or St John's Ambulance

(Valid certificate or willing to update)
β€’ Familiarity with security equipment
β€’ Physically able to manage, react, stay calm and act quickly and successfully during high stress situations and incidents.
β€’ Strong attention to detail
β€’ Ability to stand, walk, sit for prolonged periods of time
β€’ Must be Ontario licensed
β€’ Proficient in English with good communication skills (written and verbal) for incident reporting and documentation.
β€’ Have reliable transportation to get to sites in downtown Toronto.
β€’ Available for Part-time/On-Call assignments for weekends, evening and midnights
