Job Description
Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated, professional and compassionate on-call Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for providing security guard/close protection services to clients in various settings including corporate, retail store setting, governmental, or private sectors. Their primary duty is to ensure the safety and security of their clients by mitigating risks and responding swiftly to any potential threats. They keep clients safe from unwanted attention or physical harm. They are responsible for assessing security measures and providing discreet surveillance.

Key responsibilities:
• Provide security protection to the clients as required, ensuring their safety and security in all environments.
• Loyalty and Trustworthiness: you must build strong relationships of trust with our clients, often becoming integral members of their personal or professional lives. Loyalty and discretion are essential traits in maintaining these relationships.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities and develop appropriate security measures to mitigate risks
• Manage the client's transportation logistics, including route planning, vehicle security, and coordination with drivers to ensure safe and efficient travel
• Be prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations, including medical emergencies, security breaches, or other threats to the client's safety
• Always maintain the highest level of professionalism and discretion, respecting the client's privacy and confidentiality
• Prevent shoplifter theft by establishing a strong security presence.
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons
• Arrest and/ or detain shoplifters.
• Escort trespassers away from client premises
• Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
• Complete incident reports for security purposes
• Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required
• Quickly respond to security and safety violations, property damage and alarms.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Hold valid certifications in close protection/security
• Excellent physical condition with the ability to meet the demands of the role
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to think quickly and make sound decisions under pressure, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
• Awareness and understanding of cultural differences and customs, with the ability to adapt to diverse environments and situations
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional travel both domestically and internationally
• Excellent knowledge of Lower Mainland Area of BC

Essential requirements:
• Clean and valid driving license
• Willing to provide criminal background check
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent physical health
• Ability to handle stressful situations with composure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant accreditation/qualifications
• Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and protocols
• Experience operating CCTV systems is a plus
• First Aid Training
