As a Biliingual Control Room Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centre, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities For Bilingual Surveillance Security Guard
β€’ Answer calls on the security landline phone, mobile phones, intercom and radio system
β€’ Liaison with contractor security personnel and client regarding security activities, incidents, search programs, access control programs and overall safety
β€’ Monitor systems and alarms including, but not limited to:
β€’ Security systems
β€’ Fire alarm systems
β€’ Closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras; and
β€’ 911 emergency dispatch
β€’ Dispatch emergency calls to clients EH&S emergency service to manage fire, rescue, medical and the emergency command centre at all applicable sites.
β€’ Dispatch security alarms, events and activities to all sites
β€’ Report security incidents and ensure all incidents have been accurately documents in the system and reported to the appropriate individual
β€’ Track all alarms and resolve any alarms relating to card problems
β€’ Report on patrols using the shift report template and the electronic tour application
β€’ Participate in safety meetings
β€’ Generate attendance reports in the event of an emergency condition

Qualifications For Bilingual Surveillance Security Guard
β€’ Be authorized to work in Canada
β€’ Valid Alberta Security License
β€’ Minimum 1 year experience in Control/Call Centre
β€’ Fluent in English; French is an asset
β€’ Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
β€’ Strong computer and typing skills, proficient with Microsoft Office
β€’ Experience with monitoring and operation of video and surveillance systems
β€’ Available for a 6 on 6 off 12 hr rotation; must have fulltime availability
