Job Title: Pressure Welder



Job Description

The Pressure Welder will be responsible for fabricating pressure piping projects, focusing initially on pipes ranging from 2" to 60" using MIG roots with a fluxcore cap. The role involves supporting the project from setup through fabrication and finishing, fitting components, and utilizing a rolling system for welding. Additionally, the welder may be required to assist around the facility during any work delays.

Responsibilities
• Fabricate 2"-60" pipes using MIG roots with a fluxcore cap.
• Perform fitting of components and use rolling systems for welding.
• Assist with other tasks around the facility when needed.
• Support the project through setup, fabrication, and finishing stages.

Essential Skills
• Pressure welding expertise.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, including Root and Cap.
• Experience with pressure piping.
• 3+ years of fitting experience.
• Red Seal certification and B Pressure Welder qualification.
• Journeyman welder certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with seam and circ welds.
• Prep cuts and structural CWB tickets.
• Supervisor or lead experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This role is based in a fabrication shop with approximately 30 employees, specializing in spooling, welding, coating, and lining pressure pipes. Located in the SE industrial sector, the shop is easily accessible. Initially, work will be on day shifts from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential for extended hours and Saturday work. After acclimating to the role, transition to night shifts from 3 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday to Thursday, with a premium for night shifts.
