Hiring G Drivers for parcel Delivery in OTTAWA

As per Employment and Social Development Canada, the minimum wage for drivers in federally regulated sectors is $18.50 per hour effective January 1 2026. Overtime pay at 1.5 times the rate applies after 8 hours daily or 40 hours weekly under the Canada Labour Code. This rate covers interprovincial trucking operations across provinces.

As per Transport Canada, commercial drivers may work a maximum of 70 hours in any 7 consecutive days under the Commercial Vehicle Drivers Hours of Service Regulations. As per provincial ministries of transportation, applicants need a valid Class 1 licence with air brake endorsement and a current medical certificate renewed every 5 years for drivers under age 65. As per Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada, foreign drivers require a valid job offer from a Canadian employer, an LMIA or exemption proof, a valid Class 1 licence from their home country, and a medical exam completed within the last 12 months.
