Title: Service Center Technician - Welder Employment Type: Full-TimeThe Service Center Technician - Welder is responsible for repairing, reconditioning, and testing decanters to ensure optimal performance and quality standards. This role involves carrying out welding and fabrication work using various welding processes and specialised materials. You will perform non-destructive testing and trial runs to verify equipment reliability and compliance with specifications. Collaboration with service coordinators is essential to plan and support daily service activities. The position requires expertise in coatings, hard facing, grinding, and precision repair techniques. The role suits a qualified welder with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Execute repairs and reconditioning of Decanters according to specifications, repair manuals and the defined job scope.Non-destructive testing (dye penetrant)Perform trial test runs when work is complete to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications.Collaborate with service coordinators to plan and support daily work assigned.Perform welding repairs utilising equipment & materials such as: MIG/TIG/SMAW. Materials: Duplex, 316, MS, Bronze and Inconel, Stellite.Perform coating: Tungsten, Stellite, Nickel and TM42.
