team of 160 people based in Bahrain, UAE and Saudi Arabia, Fives Services
Gulf provides local customer service, project execution support and local
parts sourcing, in addition to carrying out refit and modernization
projects, audits and technical assistance on customer sites. A team is also
dedicated to the maintenance of equipment in operation at our customers'
plants.

Position Summary

To perform high-quality welding using various welding processes on
different materials including stainless steel and mild steel. The role
supports the delivery of workshop and site services in line with Company
policies, procedures, and international welding standards, ensuring safety,
accuracy, and reliability in all operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications,
and work orders to plan daily welding and fabrication requirements,
ensuring proper selection of materials, consumables, and welding
processes in accordance with codes and standards
• Carry out pre-welding preparations, including material cleaning, edge
preparation, joint fit-up, and alignment to ensure welding is
performed as per design requirements and technical specifications
• Execute welding activities using FCAW, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and other
approved processes for SS, MS, Aluminum, and Alloy materials, while
adhering to company procedures, quality standards, and international
codes
• Detect and troubleshoot minor irregularities during welding
operations by adjusting equipment settings, monitoring arc stability,
and ensuring consumables are properly handled to achieve high-quality
welds free of defects
• Conduct post-weld inspections to ensure compliance with technical
requirements
• Maintain welding equipment in good working order through regular
checks and adjustments
• Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external)
regulations including HSEQ requirements using Company policies and
procedures as appropriate

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in FCAW, SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding processes for
Stainless Steel (SS) and Mild Steel (MS); preferably certified in 6G
position
• Experienced in structural fabrication and piping welding applications
• Skilled in applying distortion control techniques to maintain
dimensional accuracy
• 15+ years of professional welding experience with certifications in
TIG, MIG, and other relevant processes
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Preferably experienced in Alloy Steel and Aluminum welding operations

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Basic user of MS Office
