Job Description
Position: Waiter / Waitress – Joud Café

Join the Front-of-House Team at Joud Café

Joud Café is growing into a stronger, more complete café experience — built around warm hospitality, beautiful spaces, all-day breakfast, fresh bakery, desserts, drinks, and proper table service.

We are looking for Waiters and Waitresses who want to do more than simply take orders.

At Joud Café, the waiter is one of the most important people in the guest experience. You are the person who welcomes the guest, reads the table, explains the menu, recommends confidently, keeps the service flowing, and makes people feel genuinely looked after.

This role is for someone who enjoys hospitality, has energy on the floor, takes pride in service, and wants to grow with a homegrown UAE brand that is raising its standards.
What This Role Is Really About

This role is about creating regular guests.

People may come in for breakfast, lunch, dessert, coffee, or a quick bite — but the way they are treated is what makes them return.

We want service that feels warm, confident, and professional. Not robotic. Not careless. Not rushed.

You should be able to make guests feel welcome, guide them through the menu, suggest the right items, and notice the small things before the guest has to ask.

A great waiter does not just serve food.

A great waiter makes the table feel cared for.
What You’ll Be Doing

You will welcome guests with confidence and warmth, help them settle in, present the menu properly, and take accurate orders.

You will recommend breakfast items, bakery products, desserts, drinks, add-ons, and new menu items in a natural way that improves the guest experience.

You will serve food and drinks with care, check back at the right time, clear tables properly, and make sure your section stays clean, organized, and ready for the next guest.

You will work closely with the floor team, runners, baristas, kitchen team, and supervisors to keep service smooth during busy periods.

You will also be expected to follow Joud Café’s standards for grooming, hygiene, food safety, service sequence, table setup, and guest communication.
You’ll Be a Strong Fit If You Are

You are naturally warm with people.

You are confident speaking to guests.

You are presentable, polished, and professional.

You move quickly but still pay attention to details.

You stay calm during busy service.

You notice when a table needs attention.

You are willing to learn the menu properly.

You can recommend items without sounding pushy.

You take responsibility for your section.

You care about making guests want to come back.

Previous experience as a waiter, waitress, server, or front-of-house team member is preferred.

Experience in cafés, restaurants, hotels, or premium casual dining is a strong advantage.

Good English communication is required.

Arabic is a plus.
This Role Is Not for You If

You only want to take orders and wait for the shift to finish.

You do not enjoy speaking to guests.

You get frustrated easily during busy service.

You do not like learning menus, service steps, or standards.

You are not comfortable being held accountable for the guest experience.

You think small details do not matter.
Why Join Joud Café?

Because Joud Café is entering an exciting new phase.

We are building a stronger hospitality-led café experience across Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with better food, better service, better training, and a stronger focus on creating loyal regular guests.

You will be joining a team that cares about:

Proper hospitality.

Beautiful café environments.

All-day breakfast.

Fresh bakery.

Desserts and drinks.

Warm table service.

Guest experience.

Training and growth.

For the right person, this is not just another waiter job. It is a chance to build confidence, improve your service skills, learn how a serious café operation works, and grow within a fast-moving hospitality company.
The Kind of Person We Want to Meet

You have energy, but you are not chaotic.

You are friendly, but still professional.

You are confident, but not arrogant.

You can move fast, but you do not become careless.

You understand that guests remember how you made them feel.

If you believe great service can turn a simple café visit into someone’s favorite place, we would love to meet you.

Quick answers about Welder Jobs

Q What is the minimum wage for Welder Jobs in United Arab Emirates?
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation sets no statutory minimum wage for welders in the private sector as of 2026. Overtime rates are fixed at 1.25 times the hourly rate for hours beyond 8 per day.
Q What visa and work permit requirements apply for international welders in UAE in 2026?
International welders require a work permit sponsored by a MoHRE-approved employer followed by a residence visa issued through ICP. The permit costs AED 300 for issuance and must be renewed every 2 years with a valid passport and medical fitness certificate. Quota-based approvals require the employer to maintain a 2:1 ratio of skilled expatriates to Emiratis in construction roles.
Q What education and experience are required to qualify for welder jobs in UAE?
MoHRE classifies welders as skilled workers requiring a minimum of 2 years documented experience plus a valid welding certification such as AWS or equivalent.
