Job DescriptionLead the design and development activities of exterior plastic vehicle components (bumper systems, exterior trim parts, etc.) in line with project timelines.Develop 3D part and assembly designs in CATIA and perform technical drawing and modeling activities.Manage 2D and 3D technical documentation processes, ensuring that design data is maintained accurately, completely, and up to date within relevant systems.Verify designs by analyzing dimensional compliance, assembly interfaces, and tolerance requirements.Develop design solutions in accordance with applicable technical standards, design guidelines, and customer requirements.Perform tolerance analyses, dimensional chain studies, and technical evaluations to support product performance and quality objectives.Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams to provide technical support during prototype, validation, and serial production phases.Manage design changes, monitor revision processes, and ensure technical documentation remains current.Contribute to the analysis of technical issues arising during the product development process and support the development of effective engineering solutions.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Proven experience in automotive design and product development.Proficiency in CATIA V5 and/or 3DEXPERIENCE.Strong knowledge of 3D modeling, technical drawing creation, and design documentation.Experience in the design and development of plastic components, trim systems, bumpers, or similar automotive parts.Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), tolerance analysis, and technical drawing standards.Knowledge of product development processes, engineering change management, and revision control.Ability to apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), assembly feasibility, and cost-oriented design principles.Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and results-oriented working skills.Good command of English, both written and spoken.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Experience with PLM/PDM systems is preferred.
