As per the Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı, the minimum wage for cleaning staff in Turkey is 28,500 Turkish Lira per month gross as of 1 January 2026. Employers must pay this amount for full-time roles with overtime at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 45 hours weekly.

The Labor Law sets a maximum of 45 working hours per week for cleaning staff with at least 24 consecutive hours of rest. Annual paid leave starts at 14 days after one year of employment and rises to 20 days after five years of service.

Applicants must submit a valid Turkish ID, İŞKUR registration number, and a recent health report from a public hospital to the provincial İŞKUR office. No education certificate is mandatory but a basic literacy document may be requested for certain municipal contracts.

Cleaning staff earning up to 150,000 Turkish Lira annually pay 15 percent income tax withheld monthly by the employer as set by Gelir İdaresi Başkanlığı. Amounts above this threshold move to the 20 percent bracket starting from the first lira over the limit.
