Getting Into Security Work Out There

Security guard jobs in Saudi Arabia pop up all the time if you know where to look. Pay can be decent once you factor in the housing stuff they sometimes throw in. From what I've seen people land roles in malls, construction sites, even oil places if they got the right papers.

Thing is requirements aren't always the same. Some spots want you to speak basic Arabic. Others are fine with English only. Honestly speaking experience helps but they train you on site quite often.

Pay And Perks That Actually Matter

Starting pay hovers around 2000 to 3500 riyals a month for entry level. That changes fast with overtime. And overtime is common trust me.

Many companies cover your room and food too. Big difference when rent in Riyadh eats half your check otherwise. I've heard guys clear extra 500 just from night shifts.

  • Free accommodation at most big firms
  • Medical coverage included
  • Annual leave after one year
  • Sometimes ticket back home

Not great if you're expecting luxury but solid for saving cash.

Where The Jobs Actually Are

Riyadh and Jeddah have the most openings by far. Dammam too if you don't mind the heat. Smaller cities get fewer posts but less competition.

Look on sites like Bayt or local Facebook groups. Walk-ins at agencies in industrial areas work sometimes. Real talk applications pile up quick so follow up with a call.

Visa rules changed lately. Sponsors matter more than ever now. Without one you're stuck even with skills.

What They Want From You

Basic fitness test. Clean record. Age usually under 45. Some want prior military or police background but not always.

And training certificate from approved places helps. Costs a bit upfront but pays off fast.

Women get more roles lately in women-only zones. That's new from what friends told me.
