Truck Driver - Fursa

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development sets the minimum basic salary for Saudi national heavy truck drivers at 4,500 SAR per month as of January 2026, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 8 hours daily. Expat drivers sponsored under the same Nitaqat categories receive at least 3,200 SAR basic plus 800 SAR housing allowance. Employers must register these amounts in the Wage Protection System by the 10th of each month.

Applicants for driver positions must hold a valid Saudi commercial driving license category 3 or higher and have at least 2 years of documented experience in the past 5 years as verified by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Foreigners need an additional 3-year international driving permit converted through the General Department of Traffic before sponsorship. No formal education certificate is mandated beyond the license.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development requires a valid passport, attested educational certificates if any, medical fitness report from an approved center, and a Saudi driving license copy uploaded via the Qiwa platform before the 15th of the application month. Sponsors must also submit the employment contract showing 4,000 SAR minimum total package for Saudis. Processing takes 5 working days after submission.

Drivers are limited to 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week under the 2026 Labor Law enforced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, with mandatory 30-minute rest after every 4 hours. Annual leave is 21 days paid after completing one year, increasing to 30 days after five years of service. Overtime must be compensated within the same month.
