As per the Ministry of Manpower, the minimum wage for welders in Egypt is 8500 EGP per month as of January 2026. Overtime must be paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate for hours exceeding 8 per day. This applies to all private sector welding roles under Decree 140 of 2025.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, Egyptian welders need a valid passport, skill certificate from the Vocational Training Authority, and a contract stamped by the Egyptian embassy. Applications must be submitted via the electronic portal by March 2026 with a 450 EGP processing fee. No visa is issued without proof of at least 2 years experience.
