Job Description
"Lead Something Worth Leading"

Bodega Tapas Bar isn’t your average restaurant - for many, it’s a destination. As Edmonton’s premier Spanish tapas experience, we’ve built a reputation for bold flavours, an exceptional wine program, and the kind of atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.

Our Ellerslie location is high-energy, high-volume, and high-expectation…We’re looking for a manager who thrives in exactly that environment.

We don’t just serve tapas. We create experiences. If this resonates with you, keep reading.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a results-driven, hospitality-obsessed Restaurant Manager to lead our Ellerslie operation. This is a hands-on role is for someone who leads on the floor, not from a laptop. Someone who knows that culture, consistency, and coaching are what separate good restaurants from great ones.

If you geek out over labor cost percentages as much as you do over a perfectly executed service, you’re our kind of person.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Operations & Guest Experience
• Drive a seamless, high-volume service operation with an unwavering commitment to quality and consistency
• Champion a guest-first culture where every visit exceeds expectations
• Maintain rigorous standards across food quality, cleanliness, and health & safety compliance
• Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and speed

Leadership & Team Development
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop a high-performing front- and back-of-house team
• Build schedules that balance guest experience with smart labor cost management
• Partner closely with our Head Chef to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and pride in craft
• Conduct meaningful performance conversations that inspire growth — not just compliance

Financial Performance
• Own the P&L: labor, food costs, waste reduction, and profitability targets
• Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports with an eye toward continuous improvement
• Collaborate with ownership and the Regional Manager on marketing initiatives, promotions, and revenue-driving strategies
• Ensure airtight cash handling and payroll accuracy

WHO YOU ARE
• 3–5+ years of progressive restaurant management experience, ideally in a full-service, high-volume, or concept-driven environment
• A natural leader who builds loyalty — with guests and with your team
• Financially fluent: you speak P&L, food cost percentage, and labor variance without missing a beat
• Composed under pressure, decisive when it counts, and humble enough to keep learning
• Passionate about food and beverage — familiarity with Spanish cuisine or wine is a genuine plus
• Legally entitled to work in Canada

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
• $50,000 – $65,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
• Performance-based bonus program
• The autonomy to actually run your restaurant - not just manage a checklist
• A leadership team that respects operators and invests in their growth
• A concept with a real identity, a loyal guest base, and room to make your mark.
