As per the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, expats need a valid work permit issued through LMRA before starting packing jobs, valid for two years and renewable. The employer must pay a BHD 200 application fee plus BHD 100 annual levy as of 2026. Permits require a valid passport, medical fitness certificate, and no objection certificate from the home country.
