Job Description
Job Purpose

To perform day-to-day transportation services such as collection and delivery of aircraft spare parts and thereby to satisfy the operational requirements needed. Ensures items for repair are delivered and collected on time and as per adopted procedures to avoid shortages.

Key Result Responsibilities
• Ensures that all aircraft spare parts received at Sharjah Airport Customs are at all times being carefully handled and protected from any hazards and environmental influences during transportation and up till proper delivery to the designated store with minimum delay.
• Ensures delivery of aircraft parts from main Stores to line Stores and vice versa as been instructed.
• Makes sure to safely deliver all unserviceable spares that are removed from Air Arabia aircrafts to the stores dispatch area.
• Delivers spare parts to the Freight Forwarder or MROs as directed by the respective supervisors.
• Assists the “Stores Controller” in packing of materials to be exported.
• Adheres to all traffic laws and regulations while executing his/her duties and driving the Company’s vehicle; he/she takes responsibility to the safety of passengers, components, goods and the vehicle.
• Maintains the assigned Company vehicles in good agreed operating conditions by carrying timely necessary servicing in accordance with the Manufacturer’s specifications.
• Keeps Company’s vehicles in a clean and tidy condition, both inside and outside, ensuring that a ‘No Smoking’ policy is followed at all times by both himself/herself and the passengers.
• Carries out other outdoor tasks whenever requested by authorized personnel.
• Shows adherence and compliance to health & Safety measures and standards ensuring all hazards are identified and risk assessments are carried out as and when necessary.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
• High School or Diploma in any stream is acceptable.
• Physically fit and dynamic.
• Acceptable computer skills.
• Fluent in English Language (Arabic is a plus).
• Must possess valid UAE driving license.

Work Experience
• 1-2 years of related working experience in a similar role as a driver in any industry is an advantage.
• Experience in airports and ramp transportation is an advantage.
• Possesses extensive knowledge in the country areas and roads, main and sub-ones, and in particular, all the roads of Sharjah and Dubai Emirates.
• Stays up-to-date with recent diversions and road construction projects.
• Stays up-to-date with any new traffic regulations and changes.
• Willing to work in shift pattern and to respond to on-call needs at a short notice.
• Possesses very good organizing and time management skills.
• Dependable, self-initiative, takes ownership, and displays energy and enthusiasm.
• Multi-task oriented with high attention to both results and details.
• Capable of working hard and under pressure.
• Cooperative team player, ready to support in ad-hoc scenarios and emergency cases.
